Physical TherapistMark earned his degree in physical therapy from the Far Eastern University –Nicanor Medical Reyes Foundation. He started his career in the outpatient setting and enjoys working with all patients to help improve their quality of life and get them back to doing what they enjoy most. Mark has had extensive training experience with the Orthopedic and Sports demographic, but also enjoys working with both younger and older populations of varying dysfunctions. Being an athlete his entire life and having been injured himself several times, Mark understands what injured people are going through. Helping people recover from injuries and seeing them get back on their feet as quickly as possible gives Mark a great pleasure.
Mark is guided by integrity, life-long learning, and a commitment to his patient’s health. It is his goal to create a positive healing experience for patients by taking time to understand each patient as an individual. Mark believes in treating his patients through evidence-based practice, as well as through utilization of education, manual therapy and therapeutic exercises. While practicing at our clinic, he continues to thrive to further his education and skills through advanced coursework to ensure that he can give the best possible treatments available to his patient.
When he is not working or studying, Mark enjoys travelling, staying active and spending time with family and friends.

Richard Zecha OT

Occupational TherapistRichard earned his Master’s in Occupational therapy from Loma Linda University in 2016. His first job out of school was in an acute rehab facility in San Bernardino where he gained experience in neuro and ortho rehab. He then went on to work at Redlands Community Hospital, where he learned much more of the medical side of things working in the ICU, Med surg, telemetry and ER units.
Aside from working his full-time work at the acute rehab facility and at the community hospital, Richard has worked side-jobs in other settings including skilled nursing facility, home health and in outpatient clinics where he focused on treating hands. He currently has his Advanced Practice in Hands certification and plans on becoming board certified in the near future.
Richard and his wife have a daughter, a son and one on the way. His hobbies include playing basketball, flag football and volleyball, playing his guitar and reading God’s word.

Clinic DirectorDr. Gabriel Perpetua completed his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University in 2004, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Magna Cum Laude honors. He went on to Loma Linda University where he received his Physical Therapy education and was conferred the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with highest graduate level honors in 2008. He holds professional membership with the orthopedic specialty section of the American Physical Therapy Association and the California Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. Perpetua is a practitioner of orthopedic and manual physical therapy. He believes in individualizing each treatment by utilizing the latest evidenced based research to effectively and efficiently treat all his patients. Dr. Perpetua received training in the grade V mobilization/manipulation techniques, differential diagnosis, the osteopathic model, Maitland and Mulligan approach, and mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the spine and extremities. Dr. Perpetua is adept in treating all musculoskeletal conditions and identifying and managing movement dysfunctions of the high level professional athlete, to the newly injured, or post-surgical procedure. Through the APTA, he is a credentialed Clinical Instructor. He is actively pursuing his board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Dr. Perpetua is a native San Diegan who is a dedicated Aztecs, Padres, Loyal, and Wave fan. He is a husband and father who enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is treating at All Star Physical Therapy as the Clinic Director in Escondido, CA.

Physical TherapistDr. Sarah O’Connor, Doctor of Physical Therapy is originally from Boston, MA and completed her Doctorate at Northeastern University in 2022. During graduate school, Sarah was trained, taught, and worked alongside many professionals from Massachusetts General Brigham and Harvard Medical School. Sarah has had experience in multiple settings such as skilled nursing facilities, chiropractic offices, and outpatient orthopedic clinics. She has worked with patients at all levels, from assisting a patient to stand on their own for the first time in months to working with patients training for the Boston Marathon.
In August of 2022, she packed up her car and drove cross country to settle in San Diego to start her career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. She enjoys being a part of the All Star family, continuing to learn and grow as a therapist. She has special interests in orthopedics, vestibular rehab, and is currently completing her Pelvic Health Certification.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys being at the beach, surfing, paddleboarding, running, weightlifting, and yoga. Sarah’s goals are to help patients reach their maximal potential to be able to do the hobbies they enjoy, improving their quality of life.

Physical TherapistBrian graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2021 and obtained his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Kinesiology from Cal State University San Marcos in 2015. He started his career in outpatient physical therapy and enjoys working with all patient populations and strives to put patient needs before his own. Brian strives for quality care while helping to improve the way each patient moves.
Brian is driven, expresses integrity and truly loves what physical therapy has to offer because there is no better feeling than helping each patient achieve their goals. Brian looks for opportunities to grow because as a physical therapist, you never stop learning and in an ever-evolving career, he is always looking for new ways to help each of his patients.
During his free time, Brian enjoys watching baseball and UFC, working out, hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Ben earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Azusa Pacific University. During this time, he competed as a sprinter on the university’s track and field team. He then worked in the physical therapy setting and as a personal trainer prior to pursuing a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Loma Linda University.
Before starting at All Star Physical Therapy, he gained experience at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital working with traumatic brain injury patients. He is currently a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC).
In his free time, Ben enjoys going to the gym, cooking, and fishing at Mammoth Lakes.

She received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA where she gained experience in community-based mental and hand therapy during her fieldwork experiences. She is currently a member of American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC), and Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD). She plans on pursuing a certification for Advanced Practice in hand therapy. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dog, roller skating, spending time with her family and loved ones, volunteering with her church family, and coaching volleyball.
